KOZ is designed to get boys out in the great outdoors and enjoy God's beauty of nature. As you will find in the statistics below, when a child gets to be a child the way God intended, the numbers show that they have a greater chance of success, lower chance of getting in legal trouble, greater chance of being a mentor rather then a follower, and a greater chance of leading a Godly family.     

 

Fatherless

• 50% of boys in America come from a Fatherless home.

• 90% of children  who run away from home come from a fatherless home.

• 75% of kids in chemical abuse centers come from fatherless homes.

• 63% of teenager suicides are from a fatherless home.

• 80% of rapists come from a fatherless home. 

The Fatherless society has created a catastrophic consequences:

• 5 times more likely to commit suicide.

• 32 times more likely to run away.

• 20 times more likely to have a behavioral disorders.

• 14 times more likely to commit rape.

• 9 times more likely to drop out of High School

• 10 times more likely to abuse chemical substances.

• 20 times more likely to end up in prision.

Note: KOZ is not only for the Fatherless, but also welcomes fathers to take part in KOZ with there sons.

Outdoors

The average kid in America spends:

• 40 minutes per week outside.

• 70 Hours per a week looking at an electronic screen.

• The average age of a hunter in America is in their 50's.

• 6% percent of kids 9-13 play outside on their own.

• 1/3 of all households in the US have guns.

Mentoring

Percentages for Mentored Kids:

• 78% of mentored kids most likely to volunteer regularly.

• 90% of mentored kids interested in becoming a mentor.

• 130% of mentored kids more likely to hold leadership position.

Jesus

Over half of Jesus' teaching occurred outdoors. Of the teachings that take place outdoors, 89% occurs outside of the city and 11% is outdoors but in the city.

• Only 16% of His teachings designate an indoor setting. 

• Of His indoor teaching, 69% occurred in some sort of home or residential dwelling.

• 25% in synagogues

• less then 5% in other buildings or Herod's palace.

• 33% of Jesus' teachings are unknown.

A message from our Pastor:

In a world that is struggling with boys being the boy that God designed them to be, there is a great need for the boys in our society. The Bible tells us that we are created in the image of God. (Gen. 1:27) Therefore, as being created in the image of God, God has designed certain traits for males and certain for females. What we need more than anything in our world is Godly boys being raised up to be Godly men to lead Godly families! I am extremely excited for KOZ Armuchee as we work to fulfill the Great Commission of Jesus Christ (Matt. 28:16-20) while training up a child in the way he should go so that when he is old he WILL NOT depart from it! (Proverbs 22:6).
